Professor Zora Singh has been awarded Australian learning and Teaching Council Citations award for sustained excellence and innovation in student-focused undergraduate teaching and postgraduate research supervision in Horticulture and Viticulture. This national prestigious award recognises and support quality teaching in Australia and carries 10,000 A$ and a citation. Professor Zora has, for more than two decades, made an exceptional contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate student learning by ensuring a strong teaching-research nexus and an holistic, systems thinking approach to improve student learning within and beyond Australia for more than two decades. Indian-born Professor Singh is a veteran academic of wide experience; having worked at five universities on three continents. He has established a cutting edge postgraduate research program in partnerships with industry and supervised 35 research students to completion (11 PhD and 8 MSc). Professor Singh’s sustained excellence and innovation in student-focused learning has been recognized by prestigious national, international awards bestowed on him and his students.
