Durga Prashad, is a mango orchardist belongs to Village Tiwari Kheda, Naubasta, Mall, District Lucknow, (Uttar Pradesh). Durga Prashad, is an owner of mango orchard of an area of approximate 4 acre. Average age of his orchard is about 50 years. 8 commercial and 3 non-commercial varieties have been planted by Durga Prashad in his orchard for different purposes. The total commercial varieties in his orchard are 8 out of which Dashehari, Chausa, Gulab Khas, Lucknow Safeda and Ramkela are the important varieties. Besides these commercial varieties, 3 non-commercial varieties have also been sustaining in his orchard. Because of its self intereset and source of income and to increase his source of income, he collected different mango varieties from self multiplication. He is also serving society by sharing all his varieties to the surrounding areas. He is earning about Rs. 2000-4000/- from his non-commercial varieties. He requires multiplication of varieties and proper management of insect pest and disease to conserve his green wealth and ultimately to maintain & enhance his source of income.

Mango Varieties of Durga Prashad
According to Durga Prashad quality of Dashehari is excellent, ripening time is medium season, taste of raw fruit is sour, flavour of ripe fruit is excellent, resistant to no, resistant to no, unsuitable for pickle, suitable for table, unsuitable for sucking, green yellow peel, yellow pulp, fibreless, and mediumsize fruit. The variety has resistance capacity against no. Durga Prashad doesn't exchanges fruits of Chausa with others.
