Abstract : Nine mango varieties differed in their susceptibility to infestation by M. personatus. No correlation was found between leaf cuticle thickness and varietal susceptibility. The contents of C, N, P, chlorophyll, carotenoids, alkaloids, tannins, polyphenols, unsaturated sterols and flavonoids in the different mango cvs also showed no consistent correlation with infestation levels.
