Abstract : The incidence of mango malformation was greatly influenced by direction and variety. The experiment conducted on this aspect in respect of four directions i.e. East (D1), West (D2), North (D3) and South (D4) taken as main treatment and three varieties Amrapali (V1), Sundarja (V2) and Langra (V3) were taken as sub treatments. The panicles of north direction were most severely infested with malformation whereas, the canopy facing south direction was least infested with this malady. The varieties also differed in malformation severity. According to investigation, varieties differed in malformation severity. The Sunderja variety was found most susceptible to malformation followed by Amrapali while Langra was least susceptible.
