Abstract : The Mango flowering mechanisms, the main influencing factors, the flowering regulation, and fruit maturity regulation were reviewed in this paper. Environmental factors such as low temperature and water stress as well as effects of different endogenous hormones and their balance on mango blossom still need further investigation. More attention should be paid to flowering regulation measures suitable for local climate and varieties including the dose of paclobutrazol as well as the concentration of potassium nitrate solution and their spraying time, so that the effective mango flowering management and stable harvest could be attained for sustainable development of mango production.
