Abstract : As one of the major diseases of mango, anthracnose control through screening antagonistic bacterium has become a hotspot. This review briefly introduced inhibition effect of antagonistic bacterium against mango anthracnose pathogen and control efficacy of antagonistic bacterium against mango anthracnose in recent years. It was pointed out that the deep and systematic studies were absent in source, antifungal activity, mechanism of disease control and security evaluation of antagonistic bacterium. Consequently, the future research should emphasize the screening of efficient strains with multifarious antifungal activity, antifungal mechanism and chemical synthesis of antifungal substance, stimuli-responding mechanism of induced disease resistance between mango and antagonistic bacterium, and security evaluation of antagonistic bacterium.
