Abstract : Pests and diseases are described, the most important being the but midge (Eriosoma indica) and bacterial black spot caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. mangiferaeindicae. Control methods used in commercial orchards are outlined.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:The cycle of the parasitic complex associated with Xanthomonas campestris pv. mangiferaeindicae, and measures against the latter and Oidium mangiferae are discussed.
