Soil application of dusts/granules and foliar/bark sprays for control of mango mealy-bug.

Abstract : Of the numerous insecticides tested for the control of Drosicha mangiferae, 2% Folidol (parathion-methyl) applied around the base of the mango trunk at the appearance of crawlers in November and repeated 3-4 times at 10-day intervals gave the best control (96.7%). Ekalux 25 e.c. (quinalphos) at 0.1% applied as a foliar spray gave the next best control (82.3% mortality).
