Fungicidal control of red rust of mango.

Abstract : Trials during 1975 and 1976 were carried out with 8 fungicides for the control of Cephaleuros virescens on the mango cv. Dashehari. Bordeaux mixture (5:5:50) reduced disease incidence most of all (to 9.2 - 15.9%) compared with the next best treatment, blue copper (50% metallic Cu) at 0.2% (13.8 - 22.4%). Infection in the control was 37.9 - 40.7%.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:In field tests with 8 fungicides against the alga Cephaleuros virescens, Bordeaux was the most effective followed by blue copper.
