Abstract : In June, 2012, symptomatic mango branches showing cracking of the outer wood of branches and exudation of a yellow to brown gum were collected in Guangxi, China. The causal pathogen was identified as Botryosphaeria dothidea based on morphological, genetic (ITS) and pathogenicity analyses. This is thought to be the first report of B. dothidea causing mango gummosis in China.
