Abstract : A new species of Vasates found in the terminal buds of mango at Embaba (Giza) in Egypt is described from the female as V. aegyptiacus sp.n. This eriophyid was found associated with Metaculus mangiferae (Attiah) in the buds and caused malformations such as russetting in the buds and stunting in the inflorescences.
