Abstract : The work planned for the Casdar D2Biofruits project aims to identify the causes of post-harvest losses in the fruit and vegetable sector and to study techniques to reduce them. This project, lead by the Ctifl, began in January 2014 and will last for 3 years. Nine partners are involved: Ctifl, Cirad, University of Avignon, St Paul's Agricultural High School (Reunion Island), la Tapy, Reuse Sari, ProNatura, Xeda International and Koppert. The first phase will focus on developing methodologies which will allow the losses to be qualified by the operators in this sector and to identify the critical stages. The second phase will consist of assessing techniques that are compatible with organic agriculture and that limit losses by focusing on four susceptible species (peach, table grapes, mango and chestnut).
