Abstract : In Taiwan, Chunrocerus niveosparsus (Leth.) is the most important pest of mango during blooming. Its eggs are laid mainly on flowers but occasionally on shoots; oviposition occurs mainly within the 18-22 cm length of the panicle. Studies on Gonatocerus sp. in southern Taiwan in 1977-79 showed that this egg parasite was present in all mango-growing areas and that its percentage parasitism ranged from 1.34 to 62.27 and averaged 42.09 during blooming.
