Abstract : This standard provides a common framework for National Plant Protection Organizations to approve irradiation facilities used for phytosanitary purposes by assessing the effectiveness and ability of a facility to fulfill all the requirements for the irradiation of commodities. It standard addresses applications for phytosanitary treatment of non-food commodities (e.g. timber, flowers and cotton) as well as some food commodities (e.g. mango and papaya).
