Abstract : A study was carried out in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, India, during 2010-13 to evaluate 12 mango hybrid varieties (A.U. Rumani, Amrapali, Bombay green, Langra, Mahmood bahar, Mallika, Neeleshan, Neelgoa, Neeluddeen, Prabhashankar, Ratna and Swarnjahangeer) for resistance to floral malformation disease. Recently, Fusarium mangiferae pv. subglutinans has revealed as the dominant causal agent of this disease. The minimum mean malformation (8.4) was recorded in Mallika, followed by Langra and Prabhashankar (9.2%). The maximum mean malformation (27.7%) was observed in A.U. Rumani, followed by Neeleshan (21.3%) and Ratna (20.7%). Although Mallika, Langra and Prabhashankar showed moderately resistant reaction towards floral malformation, they showed varying types of inflorescence, being loose and open for Mallika and Langra, and medium compact type for Prabhashankar.
