Abstract : Objectives: This study aims to investigate the damage by pest termites on mango seedlings in nurseries in Korhogo's region and conduct preliminary trials to highlight the anti-termite properties of the aqueous extracts of three local plants Terminalia Mantaly (Badamier de Madagascar) (Combretaceae), Calotropis procera (Pommier de Sodome) (Asclepiadaceae) and Strychnos spinosa (Oranges du Natal ou oranger de brousse) (Loganiaceae). Methodology and Results: Six (6) nurseries P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 and P6 were selected and surveyed. Within each nurseries, 3 plates (1 m × 10 m) having 50 mango plants were sampled. In total, 900 plants were examined. For control trials, the aqueous extracts of the three plants was sprayed on the ground of the nursery. The pyriforce was used as reference product. Attacked organs were noted and photographed. Eight (8) species are responsible for the damage in these nurseries. However, species that are more aggressive are Ancistrotermes cavithorax and Microtermes sp.2. The overall rate of termite attack varies significantly from one nursery to another. The plot P1, with pallaige records the lowest attack (10.66%) and plots P5 and P6, without particular disposition, record the highest attack rates with respectively 93.33% and 78.66%. The aqueous extracts of Terminalia Mantaly and Strychnos spinosa showed no efficacy against termites. Only Calotropis procera extract seems to have an effect on the termite. Conclusions and application of findings: The results of this study seem valuable in that they can attract the attention of research centres and leaders of the industry mango on termite attacks on mango trees in nurseries and open the prospect of use in the fight against pests' termites the extracts of Calotropis procera.
