The identity of mango mildew, Oidium mangiferae.

Abstract : This is the first report of O. mangiferae, identified from conidia and conidiophores as the imperfect state of Microsphaera alphitoides, on mango in New Zealand. A heavily infected oak tree was growing next to the glasshouse containing the diseased mango seedling. Infected mango plants from India may have carried the oak pathogen to Europe.
