Abstract : In several field trials, copper compounds (including copper oxychloride and copper hydroxide) were the only ones to give even moderate control of Xanthomonas campestris on mangoes, the average control with copper sprays being only 40%. Spraying usually started in mid-October, but in one trial in which the first spray was applied in early September (full flowering to fruit set), followed by a second in mid-October, 53% control was obtained. Using adjuvants did not enhance control.
