Abstract : The mango (Mangifera Indical L.) cultivation under irrigation, in conditions of semiarid climate, has a high production potential. For this potential to be completely explored it is necessary to supply sufficient quantities of fertilizers. In order to verify the effects of fertilization with phosphate in the production and quality of mango tree 'Tommy Atkins', an experiment was conducted at São Francisco farm in Ipanguaçu-RN, with five treatments (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 g plant-1 P2O5), arranged in a randomized block design with four replications, as a source of P was used superphosphate (18% P2O5). When the production started, the mangoes were harvested and separated in regard to the market destination (internal or external). It was evaluated the number of fruits per plant, average fruit weight and productivity/ha. There was no significant effect of phosphorus levels on any of the variables evaluated for this cycle of production.
