Abstract : In trials with the mango cv. Neelam, Sevimol [carbaryl + molasses], fenthion or formothion, each at 0.1%, was applied twice to control Sternochetus mangiferae. The fruits were harvested 50 days after the second application. Sevimol, fenthion and formothion residues in the fruit were 0.56, 0.36 and 0.26 p.p.m., respectively, being well below the tolerance levels (7, 0.75 and 2 p.p.m., respectively) prescribed for oranges and grapes.
