Abstract : Experiment on the efficacy of Cultar from new source on growth, flowering and yield behavior of Mango (Mangifera indica L.) cv Dashehari was conducted for a period of 2 years (from 2011 to 2012), Eight levels of cultar were applied as soil drench @ 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 60 ml and 30 ml (ES)/tree in the first year (October, 2010) and second year (October, 2011). The maximum reduction in vegetative growth parameters were recorded under cultar 60 ml/tree followed by cultar 35 ml and 30 ml/tree in both the years. The minimum duration of flowering period was recorded under cultar 60 ml/tree followed by cultar 35 ml and 30 ml/tree. The maximum flowering with more hermaphrodite flowers, fruit set per panicle, fruit retention, fruit number, fruit size and fruit yield per tree were recorded in 30 ml cultar treated trees whereas, 15 ml/tree cultar was found effective in case of maximum average fruit weight. Maximum TSS, total sugar, reducing sugar and ? carotene were recorded under treatment of cultar 30 ml and 35 ml/tree. Therefore, 30-35 ml/tree cultar should be given to obtain maximum fruit yield without affecting fruit quality.
