Abstract : Mango (Mangifera indicia L.) is one of the most important fruit crop in India and considered to be the national fruit of India. It belongs to the family Anacardiaceae and native to Indo-Burma region. the study was conducted to evaluate physical, morphological and biochemical characters of ten mango varieties. The results show that the highest fruit length (14.71 cm), fruit weight (521.70 g), maximum fruit volume (512.25 ml) and pulp weight (372.83 g) were recorded in the variety Totapuri. Highest peel weight was observed in Mundappa (90.26 g) and maximum stone weight was recorded in Ratna (69.04 g). The highest total soluble solids was recoded in Manibhatta (21°Brix) and also the maximum titratable acidity was found in Mundappa (0.41%), highest total sugar content (28.20%) and reducing sugar content (4.89%) was observed in kare Ishad.
