Abstract : In glasshouse trials under high humidity and at temps. between 20 deg and 30 deg C, mixtures of asulam and dalapon were synergistic in preventing regrowth of Imperata cylindrica. A commercial formulation of asulam + dalapon (ARD 13/31 [63.5% wt/wt]) applied at 11.25-18 kg in 800-1000 litres spray/ha showed a higher level of control of I. cylindrica and greater persistence than dalapon alone at 22 kg/ha. ARD 13/31 performed equally well in shade or full light. ARD 13/31 was well tolerated by young rubber trees, oil palms and coconuts and by established mangoes.
