Abstract : A review and discussion on alternate bearing in numerous temperate, subtropical and tropical fruit trees with particular reference to apples, pistachios, olives, citrus, avocados and mangoes, and with mention of effect of rootstocks, flowering habit, climatic and other environmental stresses, endogenous factors, and control of alternate bearing.
