Abstract : Apparently healthy, mature but unripe mangoes developed severe bacterial rot (Pseudomonas mangiferae indicae) after 3 days' storage at room temperature. The disease was shown to be spread by contact, and was not controlled by antibiotic treatments of stored fruit. Pre-harvest treatments are advised.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:Apparently healthy, mature but unripe mangoes developed severe bacterial rot (Pseudomonas mangiferae-indicae) after 3 days' storage at room temp.
