Abstract : The report includes accounts of research on feeding of dairy cows, ewes and goats, effect of suckling regimes on lactation performance of ewes, factors affecting udder conformation in ewes and goats, use of correction factors for milk production in selection of ewes, environmental and genetic causes of variation in goats' milk production traits, and production of biogas from cows' manure. [See DSA 44, 6470 for previous report.]ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:Work is reported on the following crops: apples, apricots, cherries, hazelnuts, pistachios, strawberries, grapevines, Actinidia, avocados, Citrus, feijoas, loquats, olives, persimmons, tamarillos, bananas, guavas, mangoes, jojoba, asparagus, cucumbers, melons, onions and tomatoes. Work on tissue culture propagation of carnations, pelargoniums and Saintpaulia is described.
