Abstract : A heavy infestation of Aulacaspis tubercularis Newst. occurred on mango in an experimental orchard containing 84 varieties in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, in 1981. This scale insect injures the leaves and fruit, affecting the commercial value of the fruit and its export potential. Of 7 varieties investigated, the most heavily infested was Haden and the least heavily infested was Palmer.
