Abstract : Fruits of the cv. Oliveira Neto were dipped in solutions (at ambient temperature or 55°C) containing Kasumin (kasugamycin chloride) or Botran [dicloran] at different concentrations. The fruits were stored in perforated plastic bags at 10° for 16 days. Dipping the fruits in Kasumin at 0.2-0.4% a.i. at 55° for 5 min gave the best control of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata] and Diplodia natalensis [Botryodiplodia theobromae] and did not injure fruit peel whereas Botran at concentrations higher than 0.1% did so.
