Abstract : The subtitle of this monograph is A review with special reference to Pakistan. The chapters include the following: Basic physiology of fruits and vegetables; physiological disorders in harvested fruits and vegetables; microbial disease; environment control; control of post-harvest diseases; packaging; transportation of fruits and vegetables; and cold stores. Most of the fruits and vegetables associated with temperate climates are mentioned, and also tropical ones including avocados, coconuts, bananas, citrus, mangoes, guavas and litchis.
