Respiration rate in some climacteric fruits. Effect of prestorage at low temperature.

Abstract : The rate of respiration was delayed in bananas (cv. Robusta) and mangoes (cv. Haden) stored for 2 weeks at 10 and 6°C, respectively, but not in avocados stored for 2 weeks at 10°, prior to storage at room temperature (26-30°).
