Abstract : Eleven cultivars were classified according to their fruiting index (the relation between fruit number and the surface of production of the tree taken as the lateral surface of a truncated cone) during 3 growth periods (trees 2 to 8 years old, 10 to 16 years old and over 18 years old). Cultivars Haden, Irwin and Sensation had consistently high fruiting indices and Graham and Glenn had consistently low fruiting indices.
