Abstract : A cecidomyiid that was reared from conical galls on the leaves of mango near Allahabad, India, appears to be an undescribed taxon and is here referred to as Procontarinia sp., the generic placement being tentative. The adults of both sexes are described and figured. Similar galls have been collected in Tamil Nadu.
