Assessment of some mango cultivars for nectar preparation.

Abstract : For 20 varieties, data are presented on fruit moisture percentage, titratable acidity, total soluble solids, ?-carotene content, reducing sugar and tannin percentages, average fruit weight, pulp, peel and stone percentages and scores from an organoleptic evaluation. Dashehari was best for nectar preparation, followed by Aliflaila, Dalbia and Prabha Shankar. Mithua Malda, Baramasi Dhanipur and Firdaus Pasand were also graded as good for nectar preparation.
