Abstract : Galls formed by Indodiplosis mangifoliae Grover have been observed on the leaves of mango in many parts of India. Severely attacked leaves are badly deformed and drop prematurely. Up to 730 galls have been observed on a single leaf. Detailed descriptions are given of the internal and external characteristics of the galls. Observations in Allahabad showed that galls are formed in March-April and in August-September. Adults emerged in mid-August from galls formed earlier in the year and in March-April from those formed in August-September of the preceding year.
