Seasonal changes in ascorbic acid in developing mango buds.

Abstract : In studies with the regularly bearing cv. Bangalore and the irregularly bearing cv. Dashehari shoot tips of the 3 main flushes, namely, March, July and September, were sampled at monthly intervals between May and December. The findings are presented graphically. Buds on shoot tips of the March flush in the cv. Dashehari showed the greatest fluctuations. The findings are discussed in relation to fruit bud differentiation.
