Abstract : Some 10-15 days after germination (in July) the seedlings were transplanted at 15, 20, 25 or 30 cm, grown in the nursery until March and then inarched or veneer grafted. After grafting they were transplanted for the second time at 30, 40, 50 or 60 cm. With inarching, success (100%) was best in plants transplanted at 25 cm for the first time and at 50 cm for the second time. With veneer grafting success (85%) was best in plants transplanted at 30 cm for the first time and at 50 cm for the second time.
