A survey on the malformed growth of mango.

Abstract : The summer and autumn flushes during the on year carried almost the same percentage of malformed inflorescences (cv. Hindy Be-Sinara) whereas in the off year the spring flushes carried more malformed inflorescences than the autumn flushes. In a national survey inflorescence malformation was noted on both budded and seedling trees and on different types of soils. Soil management had no appreciable effect on the incidence of floral malformation, but in one locality, El-Fayume, no malformation symptoms were observed, even on Taymour, a shy bearing cultivar.
