Abstract : Fruits of the cv. Dashehari ripened with 600 p.p.m. Ethrel [ethephon] had the highest TSS, ascorbic acid and carotenoid contents but the least reducing sugars. Palatability was best when the fruits were treated with 2 g calcium carbide per 4-5 kg box.
