Abstract : The effectiveness of sprays of several insecticides applied at various rates at flowering for the control of Idioscopus clypealis on mango was determined in tests in orchards at Hessaraghata, India, in 1980-81. Percentage reduction in the pest population 21 days after treatment showed that monocrotophos, dimethoate and phosphamidon, all at 0.05%, were the most effective treatments and that permethrin, cypermethrin and fenvalerate, all at 0.02%, were also quite effective.
