Abstract : Eriophyes mangiferae is recorded for the first time on mango in Venezuela, where it appears to have been introduced relatively recently and is still increasing in importance and distribution. It has caused severe damage to both old and young mango trees and is considered a pest of economic importance in nurseries. The damage caused by the feeding of the mites on the terminal buds is described. Wettable sulfur is recommended for control.
