Abstract : The price spread and marketing costs for mangoes were analyzed for four marketing channels: producer-consumer; producer-cooperative society-consumer; producer-commission agent-wholesale merchant-retailer-consumer; and producer-preharvest contractor-commission agent-wholesale merchant-retailer-consumer. Out of the four channels the direct sale to consumers was the most profitable and the one through pre-harvest contractor the least profitable.
