Abstract : Orthophosphoric acid (0.5%) was sprayed alone or with 2% urea onto mango trees in September, November, March or in all three months. The percentage of phosphorus in leaves and fruits was increased by the sprays, especially when urea was present. Fruit set and yield were improved in the sprayed treatments, especially after March sprays. The triple sprayed treatment including urea yielded an increase of 88% over the water sprayed control.
