Abstract : The determination of Mn, Fe, Cu and Zn in rice, maize, cassava, black beans, lettuces, mangoes, pawpaws, pineapples, medlars, bananas and melons is described. The accuracy of the method varied from 1 to 10%. The results were compared with those obtained by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry in a different laboratory; only a few results (for Mn and Fe) were significantly different.
