Abstract : In trials with 7-year-old trees of the cv. Dusehari, the incidence of floral malformation was reduced most by NAA at 100 p.p.m. and also by IBA at 200 p.p.m., 2,4-D at 100 p.p.m., ethephon at 200 p.p.m. or CCC [chlormequat] at 3000 p.p.m. applied at flower bud differentiation. The percentage of hermaphrodite flowers in healthy panicles was highest after treatment with ethephon at 300 p.p.m. Fruit yield was highest in trees treated with NAA at 100 p.p.m. but individual fruit, pulp and stone weights were highest with NAA at 200 p.p.m., TSS and total sugars were highest with chlormequat at 2000 p.p.m., and TSS:acid ratio was highest with ethephon at 100 p.p.m.
