Abstract : Shoot growth was determined on mature Kensington trees over 2 seasons. Two major growth flushes occurred in the first season but little growth occurred in the second season. Older shoots produce more inflorescences than younger shoots. Microscopic examination of terminal buds showed that flowers were initiated very close to budburst and flowering in July.
