Abstract : Anthracnose (Colletotrichum gloeosporiodes [Glomerella cingulata]), stem-end rot (Botryodiplodia theobromae, Dothiorella dominicana and Phomopsis mangiferae), soft brown rot (Hendersonia creberrima), mango malformation (Fusarium subglutinans), bacterial black spot (Xanthomonas campestris pv. mangiferaeindicae) and powdery mildew (Oidium mangiferae) are the major diseases. Aspects of etiology and epidemiology, and control measures are reviewed.
