Consumer acceptance of mango varieties.

Abstract : Consumer acceptance of 23 cultivars was assessed using taste panels. The major Australian cv., Kensington Pride, was highly acceptable for its eating quality and appearance. Seven other cultivars were considered worthy of further evaluation viz. Strawberry, Carrie, Glenn, Haden, Irwin, Blue and Kent. Regression analysis to determine relationships of Brix, acidity, and Brix:acid ratio to overall acceptability showed no correlations.
