Abstract : Twelve cultivars were examined. Kensington Pride rated highest for flavour and general acceptability. Glenn and Banana were acceptable early cultivars and Haden, Kent and Keitt acceptable later cultivars. External colour scores could have been higher had the fruits been ripened at a temperature 25°C or ripened under ethylene.
