Abstract : A survey on mangoes was conducted over 5 years in Zambia, and the current status of 11 major diseases and 8 insect pests is reported, with particular reference to their relative importance and control under Zambian climatic conditions. The plant protection measures of mango orchards in Zambia are outlined and a spray programme is suggested.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:The current status of major pests and diseases in this crop is reported with particular reference to their relative importance and control under Zambian climatic conditions.
