Abstract : Heavy infestation of the pseudococcid Perissopneumon ferox on mango was seen in Uttar Pradesh, India, in 1980, the first record of this pest on mango. The biology of P. ferox is described from field observations in 1981-82. Two predators, the coccinellid Rodolia fumida and the erythraeid Leptus sp., were seen preying on P. ferox.
